Bimber launches Founders’ Club and cask sale

To celebrate the upcoming release of its inaugural whisky, London distillery Bimber has launched its Founders’ Club and cask purchase programme.

Members of Bimber Distillery’s Founders’ Club will be able to purchase full whisky casks

Bimber Distillery’s Founders’ Club, which publicly launched this week, aims to build a community of whisky fans who share the brand’s passion and “want to be part of a distillery whose mission is to produce a true handcrafted whisky”.

Members of the Founders’ Club will receive an exclusive cask strength bottle of Bimber’s London Single Malt Whisky in December, as well as three further special releases in the coming years. Members will also be able to arrange a tour of the distillery for up to four people and will receive a welcome pack containing six cask samples.

Bimber sales director Farid Shawish said: “Prospective members have the advantage of being able to try our whisky at one of our tours, or by purchasing samples from our website, before deciding to join the club. We want to be fair and accessible, and have priced our Founders’ Club at £395 (US$500), which is substantially cheaper than other comparable offerings.”

After joining the Founders’ Club, members will have the chance to purchase their own 30-litre whisky cask, which they will be able to fill with either peated or un-peated new make spirit.

Bimber Distillery has made 50 casks available to purchase, each priced at £895 (US$1,130). The casks will mature at the distillery for three years and are expected to yield 49 bottles of London whisky.
